IMSC Research Presented at London Conference
IMSC research was presented at the We Media technology conference in London on May 3rd.
The presentation by IMSC Director Adam Clayton Powell III took place at the BBC television studio complex at White City, outside of London. Demonstrations and discussion continued the following day at the Reuters worldwide headquarters at London’s Canary Wharf.
The conference was sponsored by the Media Center at the American Press Institute and co-sponsored by the BBC and Reuters. It featured technology presentations and demonstrations by such companies as Microsoft, Nokia and British Telecom.
Other presentations were made by media organizations including the Times of London, Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya television, East Africa’s Nation Media Group and the Mail and Guardian of South Africa.
Other speakers included representatives of Google, MSN, Qualcomm and China.com. Presenters also joined the conference live by satellite from Baghdad, Johannesburg and New Delhi.
The University of Southern California was the only university invited to present at the conference.
