IMSC got awarded an NSF-JST joint project in Big Data

NSF announced six newly funded projects which improve future disaster management using Big Data. This is a part of international effort between US NSF and Japan’s JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency).

For the next three years, researchers at the University of Southern California (IMSC) and the National Institute of Informatics in Japan will collaboratively design a computer platform that decision makers can use during disasters to analyze incoming data and coordinate responses in one of six funded project titled "Human-Centered Situation Awareness Platform for Disaster Response and Recovery".
